JOYFUL NOISE PRESCHOOL strives to help nurture and develop:
1. A child who has a positive self-concept.
2. A child who is curious and wants to learn.
3. A child who begins to relate effectively to other children and adults.
4. A child who expresses himself positively and in many ways.
5. A child who uses language to communicate his thoughts, ideas and feelings.
6. A child who expands his concept about the world.
7. A child who knows God, and His gift of love.
There will be many opportunities for the development of both fine motor and gross motor skills. At no time will a child be forced to go beyond his or her developmental level. We feel that development of these skills will lead to more self-confidence in future learning.
The preschool class meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. There is before and after school care available through Joyful Noise Day Care. If you are interested in the Day Care you must enroll in that program separately. Please be prompt in delivering and picking up your child out of courtesy to the teacher. (If your child arrives early or stays after preschool, you will be charged by the day care for that time.
The classroom door will remain closed until 9:00 a.m. at which time the door will open. Children are to wait until the door opens at 9:00 to enter classroom. If your child needs to be dropped off before 9:00 you need to make arrangements with the daycare providers.
The teacher will begin releasing students between 11:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. as she sees their parents arrive. Students are to remain seated until their name is called. Please wait outside the door until your child is released.
The annual tuition is $630.00 for school September through May. This may be paid in monthly installments of $70.00; payable on the 1st of each month. A $20.00 registration fee is charged annually, which is in addition to the tuition. Make checks payable to Joyful Noise Preschool. A late fee of $10.00 will be charged after the 15th of the month. Other payment schedules can be arranged.
We encourage books, science objects, stuffed animals, etc. We try to discourage guns, pointed objects or war toys.
We ask parents to contribute snacks for their child’s class on a rotating basis. The preschool will provide napkins and cups. When sending snacks, please avoid foods that contain a great deal of sugar, artificial colorings or additives.
Sick children should be kept home to discourage the spread of germs to classmates and teachers. Please keep your child home if he or she
exhibits the following symptoms: fever, undiagnosed rash, profuse nasal discharge, heavy coughing, vomiting or diarrhea.
Please send your child to school in play clothes. We will do messy things, spend time on the floor and time outdoors, thus comfortable washable play clothes are best. We will be going outside for play throughout the year, so dress your child accordingly. Because our playground has rocks as its covering, tennis shoes or other closed toes shoes are advised. Please mark all loose clothing with your child’s name.
If you would like a home visitation from the teacher, feel free to call her. This is a good way for her to get an overall feel of your child’s background and personality before school starts. Hopefully, this will also help your child feel more comfortable with the first day of school.
Please keep the office informed of any changes of address, telephone, or emergency numbers so that we may keep your child’s record current. No child will be released to an unauthorized person. (A written permission is required if your child is to leave with someone not listed on your information form). Please keep the names of people authorized to pick up your child current.
