WELCOME to Joyful Noise Day Care

In this day care center we strive to keep your child happy by showing love and allowing the children to learn through play.

HOURS - We are open 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. daily Monday through Friday.  The center closes for special holidays.  These dates are posted well in advance and are usually national holidays.

AGES - We care for children 2 1/2 to 12 years old.  Children must be potty-trained.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE PROCEDURES - Your child must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian.  No one will be allowed to pick up your child unless they are listed on the Day Care enrollment form.

DROP IN CARE - A “Drop In” is a child who does not have a regular schedule of care with Joyful Noise.  Drop in Care is available on a space available basis.  You must call the day care to make sure we have room for your child if you are a drop in.  Drop ins are charged $2.75 per hour.

FEES - There is a yearly registration fee of $20.00 and the hourly fee is $2.25 per hour with a one hour minimum charge.  You will be billed at the end of each month for that month's hours plus any past due amount.  Bills are posted for pick up on the 1st and payment is due by the 10th of the month.  Late payment will cause us to not be able to care for your child.  Other payment schedules may be arranged.  Our center closes promptly at 6:00 p.m. if you are late you must pay the care giver on duty a late fee of one dollar for each minute you are late.  (Example - If you pick up your child at 6:05 you must pay the care giver on duty $5.00 immediately.)

SNACKS - Children are given a snack at about 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  The snack is provided by the center.

LUNCH - Lunch time is at 12:00 noon.  Children who are here at that time must bring their own sack lunch and a drink.  There is a microwave available.  Children without lunches may be given a cold lunch and you will be charged an additional $1.50 for that day.

NAPS OR QUIET TIME - is from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m.  Children under 5 years need to lie down and rest.  Other children do a quiet activity.  If your child is under 5 years of age, the State Child Care Division requires they lay down to rest.

SICK CHILDREN should be kept home!  If your child has symptoms of fever, undiagnosed rash, profuse nasal discharge, heavy coughing, vomiting, diarrhea or severe pain they should stay home.  If they show these symptoms at the center you will be called to pick up the child immediately.  The child will be in the sick room until picked up.

No medicine can be given to a child without written permission and instructions from the parent.  When children are exposed to a communicable disease, the date of exposure will be posted in the center.  Example: Chicken Pox, Head Lice, etc.

CLOTHING - Please send your child in washable play clothes.  We do crafts that can be messy and play outdoors often.  Since our playground has small rocks as its covering, closed toed shoes are preferred.  You may wish to send a change of clothing for your child to be kept in his or her cubby.  This and all removable clothing should be marked with the child's name.

RECORDS - Each child must have a Registration Form on file and these forms must be updated every 6 months.  Also, each child must have a current orange immunization record on file.  Accurate information and records are important.  Keeping the records up-to-date is mandatory according to State guidelines and the Health Department.

DISCIPLINE - We have a phrase we use to describe our discipline philosophy, which is "Helping Hands and Helping Feet."  Through this phrase, the children are taught to use their bodies in a correct manner.  Children are encouraged to do their own problem solving, sharing, etc.

TIME OUT is used.  The child sits until he or she can tell the care giver why he or she is sitting in "time out."  Then they are allowed to rejoin the group.  The parent will be called if their child displays unruly behavior to extreme or continuously.

PARENTS - There is an "Open Door" policy here.  You are welcome to come anytime to visit.  If there are any problems or concerns please discuss them with the Director or the Care Giver on duty.  We want happy children and parents who are happy with our program.  Thank you!
